My work ‘Map of the Future’ has been shortlisted by the ILO (International Labour Organization) for the Competition of the Arts: Fast Forward – The Future of Work in a Green Economy.
The exhibition is currently running at the National Gallery of Zimbabwe in Harare until January 2020.
‘Map of the Future’ focuses on the unborn generations and the impact of the changing world we live and work in.
Most of today’s crises, whether it is climate, water, population growth, resource scarcity, species extinction threaten calamity not so much for the people currently on the planet but for their descendants. The political trope about “our children and our children’s children” has never felt so urgent. This future generation deserves a fair hearing in present political debates. Through my work I aim to give the unborn generation a voice and to explore their future through artistic expression.
